The Findings

From domestic furnishings to elements of decor

A

ll the bronze containers discovered in Positano belong to domestic sets of the precious metal that became famous all over the world thanks to the findings of Pompei. The vases discovered do not show any particular decor; however, they stand out for their elegant lines and their well calibrated proportions. Our sumptuous villa is only partially excavated.

Future excavations and research will provide

more details into the objects used during the lavish dinners of the wealthy lord of Positano.

In particular, copious amounts of the metallic crockery found was mainly used to prepare, cook, and store food; however, the unique and extended dish sets used to serve and consume the meals, that certainly belonged to the extravagant and luxurious dowry of the villa, is missing.
